Patterns, Puzzles, Problems and Play Do you love math? Do you love to play games? Would you like to improve your math skills while having fun? Join us for the new after school Math Club. We will be playing lots of math games such as checkers, chess, connect 4, Uno, Race to 100, Name that Number and many more! Learn new games or play old favorites. Taught by and where: Jess Johns in room 192 Class will be on: Tuesdays, beginning 10/29; last session is 1/21/20 Grades: 1st - 5th Space Available: 12 students Food Processors Food Processors is a healthy lifestyle club that explores many areas of organic living through engaging with simple, wholesome ingredients and activities. We will be cooking up delicious plant-based recipes, making our own herbal products, and maybe even doing some gardening in our school garden. Club meetings are held in the Home Ec room and led by both Suzie Scordino, Farm to School Educator for the Oak Bluffs School, and Chef Gaby Chronister, the Harvest of the Month Chef at Island Grown Schools. Taught by & where: Suzie Scordino & Chef Gaby Sullo from Island Grown Schools in the Home Ec room Classes will be on: Wednesdays beginning 10/30/19; last session is 1/22/20 For students in Grade 4 only Space Available: 10 students Portuguese Language Club Mrs. McGroarty Sampaio (high school Portuguese teacher) and Ms. Demirs will be running this club for younger students who have no background in Portuguese but have always wanted to learn a language they can use right away.
