This fall I represented the Oak Bluffs School at a Project 351 meeting in Boston. There 351 students came together, why, to help people less fortune. One of the projects we worked on that day is called Cradles to Crayons.
When I went to Boston I didn’t know that there were actually 100,000 kids in Massachusetts that don’t have a house to go home to like we do. That’s more kids than people living on this island. That was really socking and sad to me, and inspired me to want to help, and I’m hoping you might want to help too.
So how can we help….well it’s actually pretty easy. All you have to do is bring clothes that are in good condition that don’t fit you anymore or that you don’t wear. I’m putting up a clothing Bin in the front lobby for you to drop off anything you bring in. Just one shirt or a pair of pants can help. All the clothes we collected will be donated to Cradles to Crayons so they can give them to kids who need them. If everyone brings in one item we can help a lot of kids!
Thanks for your help!!
Cradles To Crayons Clothing Drive
Did you know 100,000 children are homeless just in Massachusetts.
Cradles To Crayons is a non-profit organization that helps homeless and in need children get the essentials they need to survive.
We are looking for New or Like New Clothing. This includes shirts, coats, pants, and socks. Bring your item(s) to school and drop in the clothing bins located in the front lobby and in front of the gym.
One shirt, one item can make a difference.
BE THAT PERSON WHO MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
