Project 351

11/30/2018

Hi,
I'm Julia Sayre and I'm a current 8th Grader here at the Oak Bluffs School and I have organized a toy drive for the Holidays.  There is a box in the school lobby, wrapped in holiday paper for you to put the toys you would like to donate in.  All the toys donated are going to go to the Red Stocking Fund, so they will need to be unwrapped and new in their packaging.  The toys can be for kids of any ages.  The box will be in the lobby for one week starting today until next Friday, December 7th. Please try to bring in a toy!!
Thank you and have a great weekend.

Island Disability Needs Assessment

11/30/2018

Dear Community Member,
The Island Disability Needs Assessment is live, ready and waiting for your participation! This survey may be a bit different in nature and scope, and we need YOUR input!

  • Who should take the survey?
    • EVERYONE! This survey is intended for ALL community members, not just those with a disability, or connected to someone with a disability.
  • Why?
    • We are working to identify a shared vision of living on Martha’s Vineyard with a disability, across the lifespan. We need to collect a variety of experiences and perspectives, to better understand the needs (both met and unmet) of people with disabilities.
    • Your feedback will be utilized in a variety of ways. The IDC will develop its strategic plan, outlining the steps to be taken towards a more inclusive community. Partner organizations may access the data collected to address challenges in the areas of housing, employment, community access, and more. This data will allow us to consider immediate changes in services and programs, while also serving as a lens to project future needs.

  • How long will it take me?
    • Ok, to be honest, this survey may be a bit longer than you are used to, but for good reason. The survey is comprehensive, as it takes a holistic look at life. The survey will touch on all aspects of living (employment, housing, education, social & recreational pursuits, access to opportunities etc.).
    • With both multiple choice and open-ended questions, you can share as much or as little as you’d like. Therefore, take as much time as is feasible to share your thoughts.
    • Yes, you may take a break and return to your survey. Your input is vital as we plan for the future!

  •  How?
    • You can access the survey in both English and Portuguese, online from November 26th through December 10th using this link: https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4676768/MVSurvey
    • Paper copies of the survey are also available upon request, please contact Beth Wike

Thank you for taking your time to participate in the Island Disability Needs Assessment. Please visit our website www.idcmvy.org to learn more about the IDC, and feel free to contact Beth Wike, IDC Coordinator at any time.

Warm Regards,

Beth Wike, IDC Coordinator

 Quem deve fazer a pesquisa?
  • todos!
