It will be held at Flatbread tonight, Friday, May 30th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The event is only for current 8th grade students attending island schools, Falmouth Academy or home schooled students. We would like to invite all parents/guardians to come for the first portion of the event to enjoy light refreshments. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with parents from other schools who will be your child’s new classmates. Representatives from the high school will be on hand to introduce themselves. D.A.R.E. and the Youth Task Force will hand out important information about issues currently facing our high school students. Part of what makes this event so special is that it is for 8th graders and their parents/guardians only. Please respect our “no siblings or friends” rule. Around 7:15, the adults will depart and Darren Belisle will DJ and entertain the kids for the remainder of the evening. Pizza and drinks will be served throughout the night.
Each school will have at least one staff member or administrator present to chaperone depending on the the student body size. If parents are needed to chaperone they will have to follow all CORI procedures.
Parents are asked to check their child in with a staff member from their school at 6:30 p.m.
Children are to be picked up promptly at 9:30 p.m. No child will be permitted to leave the building without prior arrangements before this time.
This event is sponsored by the Dukes County Deputy Sheriffs Association.
