Welcome the Oak Bluffs School Gym!
Oak Bluffs School PE Class Information
Current Units:
8th-5th Lacrosse- Basic skills and game play
4th-K Games Mix Using a variety of fun games that use skills that have been learned this year
4th and Up are also using their play cards that individual students earned during the Fitness Challenge. Play cards mean that the student gets to choose the game for that class.
Want to try some videos from class at home? Here are some of our favorites!
For our younger students, Koo Koo Kangaroo is an awesome and fun resource that our kids love. They have tons of great videos and Dance-a-Longs for different age groups. Students pick up on the easy to learn moves very quickly. They are also apart of Go Noodle family which has lots of different groups who all aim to teach kids in fun new ways.
Our older students use a variety of more traditional exercise videos most of which fit in the category of H.I.T (High Intensity Training) We balance the more serious exercise with fun upbeat music. The videos that we use are awesome, because they show the students the correct form for each exercise, and provide short periods of rest between each exercise.
Try using some of these videos at home with your student(s). It's a great way to be healthy and enjoy some quality family time. If you have any questions or want links to more of the videos that we use in class please email myself or Coach Mags.
